Shares of AeroVironment Inc traded up ~16% on Monday as part of a broad-based rally in defense stocks following US intervention in Venezuela over the previous weekend and President Trump’s announcement of a 50% increase in the defense budget for fiscal year 2027.1 AeroVironment is a leader in small and medium military unmanned aerial systems, with expanding capabilities in counter-UAS and space-based solutions following its BlueHalo acquisition.
