Another notable development in the defense robotics space this week:
Kratos Defense (NASDAQ: KTOS) announced it has received approximately $400 million in new U.S. government funding for hypersonic systems and other national security programs.
According to management, the funding is expected to:
Accelerate program execution
Support organic growth
Improve cash flow by reducing working capital tied to inventory and receivables
This follows another announcement just one day earlier of an approximately $100 million production contract for a ground-based space domain awareness system.
Taken together, it's another reminder that investment in autonomous systems, hypersonics, space, and next-generation defense technologies continues to accelerate.
