UiPath (PATH): AI Agents Are Growing Up — and So Are the Financials

UiPath (PATH) reported Q2 FY2027 results with $410 million in revenue, up 13%, and ARR reaching $1.938 billion, up 12%. Worth emphasizing was the $32M of GAAP operating income.

UiPath is a global software company that specializes in robotic process automation (RPA). Their primary focus is on developing software that automates repetitive digital tasks typically performed by humans. This includes tasks in both front and back-office operations, such as customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), accounting, human resources, and claims processing.

UiPath built its name around robotic process automation. Now it is trying to move higher up the automation stack.

UiPath wants its platform coordinating AI agents, software robots, enterprise systems and people across entire business processes.

Two recent product launches illustrate that transition.

  • Maestro Flow provides a developer-focused environment for building and governing AI-native workflows from prototype through production.

  • Maestro Case targets more complicated processes involving exceptions, investigations and approvals where work must move between systems, AI and people.

More Numbers

Revenue grew 13% and ARR grew 12%. Dollar-based net retention of 109% also suggests expansion within the existing customer base is positive, but not extraordinary.

However, there are sprinkles of very optimistic news further under the hood:

  • $32M GAAP operating income

  • $89M non-GAAP operating income

  • $31M operating cash flow

  • 80% GAAP gross margin

What Comes Next

UiPath expects Q3 revenue of $440M–$445M with ARR reaching $1.992B–$1.997B.

For the full year, management expects $1.789B–$1.794B revenue, $2.065B–$2.070B ARR and approximately $445M of non-GAAP operating income.

At one time, the thesis was that software robots can automate repetitive work. Now, the thesis seems to have broadened to:

  • AI Agents Decide

  • Software Robots Execute

  • UiPath Orchestrates the Workflow

But the financial test remains straightforward: can UiPath turn its agentic-AI strategy into faster ARR and revenue growth?
