Palladyne AI (PDYN) + FANUC: Giving Industrial Robots a Smarter Brain

Palladyne AI (PDYN) announced a strategic collaboration with FANUC America, bringing together FANUC's industrial robots with Palladyne IQ, PDYN's physical-AI software platform.

The companies plan to work on:

  • AI-driven motion planning and adaptive robot behavior

  • Teleoperation and human-assisted learning

  • Simulation and AI model training

  • Joint validation of real-world customer applications

  • Standardized deployment workflows

Palladyne's pitch is essentially to add an intelligence layer that helps robots adapt to changing environments and perform a wider variety of tasks.

That makes FANUC an interesting partner: FANUC brings the robotics hardware and industrial footprint; Palladyne brings the AI software.

There is an important caveat. No financial terms, customer deployments or expected revenue were announced. This is a development and validation collaboration, not yet a major commercial contract.
