SoundHound AI (SOUN) reported record second-quarter results as the company continues expanding beyond its roots in automotive voice technology into enterprise and agentic AI.

Q2 2026 Highlights

  • Revenue: $61.9M, up 45% YoY

  • GAAP gross margin: 45.1%

  • Non-GAAP gross margin: 58.4%

  • Adjusted EBITDA loss: $9.6M

  • Non-GAAP net loss: $9.0M

  • Cash: approximately $203M

  • Debt: $0

  • 2026 revenue guidance: raised to $230M–$260M

SoundHound generated $42.7M in Q2 2025. One year later, quarterly revenue has increased to $61.9M as the company expands across restaurants, automotive, financial services, healthcare and enterprise customer service.

From Voice AI to Agentic AI

SoundHound increasingly wants investors to think beyond voice assistants.

Its OASYS platform is designed to provide AI agents capable of handling increasingly complex enterprise workflows rather than simply answering questions or responding to voice commands.

During the quarter, SoundHound highlighted new enterprise business including a seven-figure healthcare-system agreement and additional wins and renewals across healthcare and financial services.

SoundHound historically built much of its identity around automotive voice AI. The opportunity today increasingly includes:

Automotive → Restaurants → Customer Service → Healthcare → Financial Services → Enterprise AI

Economics

SoundHound remains unprofitable, but its 58.4% non-GAAP gross margin demonstrates the potential economics of the underlying software business as revenue scales.

The company also finished the quarter with approximately $203M in cash and no debt, giving management additional flexibility to invest in product development and enterprise expansion.

Following the quarter, SoundHound increased its 2026 revenue outlook to $230M–$260M.

At the midpoint, that implies approximately $245M of full-year revenue.

Robots, autonomous vehicles and intelligent machines need to:

  • Understand natural language

  • Interpret intent

  • Respond conversationally

  • Execute tasks

  • Connect voice commands with real-world actions

That potentially makes conversational and agentic AI part of the software layer sitting above physical machines.

45% revenue growth, a 58.4% non-GAAP gross margin, $203M of cash, no debt and increased full-year guidance point toward a company gaining commercial scale.
